Android App/Website based on HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON.

 

I have been coding and building my own custom electronics based on Internet of Things (read more here) for the past several years. As I expanded the number of projects across my home (all of which I have built from scratch), I wanted a way to monitor and operate the different solutions I had created. I developed this Android app based on HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JSON to control devices in four sections of the house (three floors as well as outside). The buttons and sliders allow me to:

• control the lights
• open or close all (22) window blinds, all together or each individually
• water my plants and check moisture levels in the soil
• control a mister for my garden
• control infrared devices
• open or close the garage door
• utilize an app-controlled timer and multiple motion controls for my lights and garage door
• control a sensor to turn off unused lights
• light and temperature sensors for the optimal position of my blinds for the best energy-saving results.
• sunrise and sunset information (fetched from the internet)
• Update – in the latest edition of my app I can start/stop the engine and lock/unlock the doors of my car
